Course Introduction
CorelDraw is vector-based designing software used to
create logos, Flyer, Banner, brochures, invitation cards, Hoardings and any
kind of vector designing based on the lining. CorelDraw helps in the creation
of graphics design, page layout, and photo editing, type graph, logo,
sharp-edged artistic illustration e.g. cartoons, clipart, complex geometric
patterns etc.
·
· Page Layout
Page
layout details the basic design of the elements of a page. A design template
might give you a basic idea of where you should put your page's visual
elements, from the images you want to use to the photos. You will often start
with a mock-up of your finished design to give you a better idea of what you
want the finished product to look like before picking out the specific images
and content you wish to use on the page.
·
How to Re-arrange the pages
· Floating tools
A
floating tool in CorelDRAW is a toolbar that can be positioned anywhere on the
screen, rather than being locked into place on the edge of the screen.
Tool Box
The toolbox in CorelDRAW is the main toolbar that
contains tools for drawing and editing images. It's located vertically to the
left of the workspace by default.
·
Freehand tool
The Freehand tool in CorelDRAW allows users to draw
curved lines, add segments to existing lines, and control the smoothness of the
line. Here are some tips for using the Freehand tool
· Rectangle tool
A rectangle is a four-sided, two-dimensional figure with
a right angle in each corner. A square is a rectangle with four sides that are
the same length. With CorelDraw, you can create perfect rectangles and squares,
as well as rounded rectangles (rectangles with rounded corners).
· Ellipse Tool
An ellipse is created by clicking and dragging from one
corner to the opposite corner of the ellipse’s bounding rectangle. Once
created, the ellipse has 8 sizing handles all around, and an X at its center. To
draw an ellipse from its center, hold the Shift key while dragging the mouse.
· Eraser Tool
The
Eraser tool works just like a pencil eraser, removing any part of the image
over which you click and drag. Erasing automatically closes any affected paths
and converts the object to curves. If you erase connecting lines, CorelDRAW
creates subpaths rather than individual objects.
Eye Dropper Tool
The
Attributes Eyedropper is used to copy several types of attributes from one
object, such as properties, transformations, and effects and apply them to
other objects.
· Smart Fill Tool
The
Smart Fill tool is used to fill in an enclosed area, and also can be used to
create new objects. In the property bar you can use a default fill color or
specify the color, and specify outline width and color as well. Clicking within
an enclosed area applies the solid fill and outlines.
· Distort Tool
Lets
you rotate an object to create a swirl effect. You can choose the direction of
the swirl, as well as the degree and amount of rotation. From left to right:
Original image; Zipper and Twister distortions applied; Pull distortion
applied.
· Blend Tool
The
Blend tool in CorelDRAW is used to create a transition between objects, colors,
shapes, and other properties. It can be used to create three-dimensional
effects and a variety of shapes.
· Transparency Tool
The
Transparency tool can be found in the CorelDRAW Toolbox on the left-hand side
of the interface, above the Eyedropper tool. It looks like a black and white
checkerboard. Once the tool is activated you will notice that the property bar
along the top changes to show the transparency types.
· Text tool
The Text tool in CorelDRAW 2024 can be found on the
toolbar or activated by pressing F8
· Drop Shadow
Drop
shadows and inner shadows simulate light falling on objects, adding 3D depth
for a more realistic appearance. Drop shadows appear behind or below objects;
inner shadows appear inside objects.
· How to save your file in different types
To
save a file in a different format, you can use the "Save As" function
·
Re-arranging the object
· Changing the nudge
You
can also set the nudge distance by deselecting all objects and typing a value
in the Nudge distance box on the property bar. To save the new nudge distances
to use in new drawings, click Tools Save settings as default.
· Fountain fill and Pattern fill tool
A
fountain fill is a smooth progression of two or more colors that adds depth to
an object. Fountain fills are also known as gradient fills.
There are four types of fountain fills: linear, elliptical, conical, and rectangular. A linear fountain fill flows in a straight line across the object, a conical fountain fill creates the illusion of light hitting a cone, an elliptical fountain fill is dispersed in concentric ellipses from the center of the object, and a rectangular fountain fill is dispersed in concentric rectangles from the center of the object.
· How to import Images
Click
File Import. Choose the folder where the image is stored. If necessary, you can
search for an image by using the search box. You can search for such things as
file name, title, subject, author, keyword, comment, bitmap name, object name,
and so on.
· Rotating Objects
Just
click on the object twice and bring the mouse pointer outside the object and
then press and hold the mouse and try to rotate in any direction also you can
rotate an object by specifying horizontal and vertical coordinates. You can
move the center of rotation to a specific ruler coordinate or to a point that
is relative to the current position of the object.
· How to make Rounded Corners
Creating
a Rounded Rectangle After drawing a rectangle, you can optionally round its
corners. You can round all corners at once or choose the ones you want to
round. In the toolbox, select the Shape Tool icon from the Shape Tool Select
rectangle which want to rounded corner press f10
· Reshaping Text Boxes
· Creating Basics Shapes
CorelDRAW
enables us to draw squares and rectangles. We can create a square and rectangle
by dragging with a Rectangle tool diagonally or by describing the height and
width with a 3-point rectangle tool. It lets us create rectangles on an angle
quickly.
· Changing Fonts Individually
· Spacing in between letters
In
the Character formatting docker, type a value in the Range kerning box.
Negative values decrease the spacing between characters; positive values
increase the spacing between characters.
· Converting Text to Curves
Click
in the text frame. Text that has been converted to curves cannot be edited. You
can also edit text by clicking Text Edit, and making changes to the text in the
Edit text dialog box. Using the Pick tool , select the text, and click Text
